Karakalpakstan Republic of Uzbekistan to further develop cattle-breeding

The government of Karakalpakstan, an autonomous republic in Uzbekistan, decided to further develop cattle-breeding sector and to establish cattle-breeding production in Takhtakopir, Kongirot and Konlikol districts, Karakalpak Justice Ministry announced in its Telegram channel.

According to the decision, 800 hectares of cotton fields will be assigned to feed crops in 2018, in order to develop cattle-breeding in Takhtakopir and Konlikol districts.

Apart from the local farmers, entrepreneurs from Andijan, Fergana and Namangan provinces will also participate in development of the cattle-breeding enterprises.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Karakalpakstan Republic ordered to create 10,000-head farms in Takhtakopir district. The farms will be specialized on purchase, storage and supply of meat and milk production.
