The country's authorities pay great attention to the development of the energy sector, in particular, Uzbekistan has embarked on major power sector reforms to establish an effective regulatory regime, enhancing the security of power supplies and increasing the deployment of renewable energy resources.

It is expected that by 2030, with help of international financial organizations, the country will increase renewables deployment by up to 12 GW of solar and wind capacity.
