BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belgium amounted to over 8.4 million euros during the first month of 2023, increasing by 1.7 times year-on-year (1M2022 – 4.8 million euros), Trend reports with reference to Eurostat.
During the reporting period, Uzbek exports to Belgium amounted to 3.5 million euros, which is 5.2 times more, compared to the figure for the first month of 2022 (678,443 euros).
Uzbekistan in the reporting period imported Belgium goods and services worth 4.8 million – an increase of 16.6 percent over 4.1 million in 1M2022.
In 2022, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belgium amounted to 166.8 million euros. Exports from Uzbekistan to Belgium in the reporting period amounted to 39.5 million euros, while imports – were 127.3 million euros.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the EU countries in January 2023 amounted to over 323.8 million euros, increasing by 37.1 percent, compared to the figure for January 2022 (236.1 million euros).
