TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 23. Two more solar power plants with a capacity of 150 kW each have been launched at Uzbekistan's Bukhara Oil Refinery, Trend reports.
According to official information, the number of solar power plants at the Bukhara Oil Refinery has reached 10 units.
For the most efficient operation of solar power plants, network inverters are installed at the facilities, thanks to which the replacement of grid electricity occurs at the expense of alternative power sources, and in the daytime, the solar power plant is used as the main source of electricity.
Furthermore, large-scale work is currently underway at the plants and in the management of the system of Uzbekneftegaz JSC to reduce energy consumption and promote the widespread use of renewable energy sources.
Meanwhile, the development strategy of the Bukhara Oil Refinery provides for the further active introduction of "green" and energy-efficient technology. It is planned to install at least 6,000 solar panels at the refinery by the end of the year, as a result of which about 3,000 kW of additional electricity will be generated.
