Uzbekistan discloses gas trade turnover volume for 1Q2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 23. Uzbekistan’s trade turnover of natural and artificial gas reached $405.6 million from January through March 2024, Trend reports.

As per data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure indicates an increase of 124.9 percent ($180.3 million in January–March 2023).

Uzbekistan’s exports amounted to $45.4 million from January through March 2024, which is up by 65.6 percent from the same period last year ($27.4 million in January–March 2023).

The imports of natural and artificial gas totaled $360.2 million during this period. This indicator has increased by 135.5 percent year-on-year ($152.9 million in January–March 2023).

Meanwhile, the country's total trade turnover volume of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials amounted to $1.2 billion from January through March 2024. This figure is 44.8 percent more year-on-year ($828.5 million in January–March 2023).

Uzbekistan's exports of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials reached $204.7 million, and imports totaled $1 billion from January through March 2024.
