Iran and Egypt foreign ministers are going to meet on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) meeting for resumption of political ties, said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast on Tuesday, ISNA reported.
"Fortunately, top officials of the two sides are willing for resumption of talks," Mehmanparast added.
NAM meeting is to be held in Bali, Indonesia on May 26-27.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister is to visit Egypt ahead of ministerial meeting, Mehmanparast noted.
Iran and Egypt have had no diplomatic ties since Iran's 1979 revolution because of Egypt's peace treaty with Israel, but the two governments cooperate on diplomatic affairs at a non-ambassador level.
