(IRNA) - Iran is ready to exchange experience with Syria in combating drugs, said an Iranian official here on Friday.
"Iran is ready to transfer experience to Syria in identifying the criminals, discovering narcotic drugs and using trained sniffing dogs for the purpose," said commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Police (IRIP) Esmaeel Ahmadi-Moqaddam in a meeting with Syrian deputy interior minister Major General Ibrahim Mowseli.
General Ahmadi-Moqaddam briefed the Syrian official on Iran's success in benefiting from modern computer softwares for fighting drugs and public crimes, including driving offenses, reports Trend.
A senior Syrian police delegation is soon to visit Iran to get first hand account of Iranian police's capabilities and potential and look for ways of building cooperation in related field.
