Iran plans to participate in the offshore oil projects in Europe and Africa, Abolghasem Rahmani, the managing director of the Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC), said.

The IOEC has held negotiations with certain international companies to carry out projects in Black sea and Nigeria, Rahmani said, IRNA news agency reported.

However the talks need to be finalized before the agreement is signed, Rahmani said.

He added that the IOEC has undertaken certain projects abroad including a project for laying submarine gas transmit pipeline in Europe which will be carried out in 2017.

Rahmani underlined that the details of the project will be announced in the future once the negotiations are finalized.

While commenting about the project which is planed to be implemented in Africa, Rahmani said that the IOEC is studying the project for construction of a 500-kilomter oil pipeline in Nigeria.

He also said that Iran has reached agreement with a Dutch company to exchange equipments in various projects if is needed.
