Iran’s Pars Oil & Gas Company announces work priorities for next year

Iran’s Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) will focus on several projects in the coming Iranian year (begins March 21, 2019), said Mohammad Meshkinfam, Chairman and Managing Director of POGC, Trend reports referring to the company's website.

According to Meshkinfam, the 14th phase of the South Pars Gas Field, along with increasing the production levels (and subsequently preserving the said increased productions levels) of the Farzad and Kish gas fields are key priorities.

Meshkinfam added that the development projects of the 13th, 22nd-24th phases of the South Pars Gas Field are in their final stages and will be put into operation this year (started March 21, 2018).

"Therefore, the development of the 14th phase will be in focus next year," he said.

Meshkinfam said that the 14th phase is the last development project on the South Pars Gas Field, with the commission of the rest of the offshore platforms and refineries planned for next year.

Talking about other joint and non-joint projects, the managing director added that the development of the Kish gas field, determination of the condition of the Farzad gas field, the 11th phase of the South Pars Gas Field, the increase of pressure in gas extraction and the preservation of production levels will be in the center of attention.

"The Iranian Ministry of Oil had planned to produce 84.9 million cubic meters of gas from the 13th, 14th, 22nd-24th phases of the South Pars Gas Pipeline this year," he said.

According to Meshkinfam, the 14th phase was launched in the past months with a 23.8 million-cubic-meter production.

He said that each of the 13th, 22nd-24th phases will produce 23.8 million cubic meters of gas by the end of the year.

"Thus, the aimed 84.9 million cubic meters of gas will be produced and the program will be implemented," he said.
