Bank loans allocated to Iranian farmers in Tehran province last Iranian year (started March 21, 2018) increased by 70 percent compared to the previous year, said Chairman of the Tehran Province Agriculture Organization of Iran Karim Zolfighari, Trend reports via IRNA.
He said that farmers in the agricultural sector received loans worth 16.2 trillion rials (about $386 million) last year.
He added that loans worth 12.7 trillion rials (about $304 million) were issued by Iran’s Keshavarzi Bank.
There are 187,000 hectares of agricultural land in Iran’s Tehran province.
