Oil production of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) will increase by 19,000 barrels a day, said NISOC Deputy Director Ahmad Mohammadi, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
Mohammadi noted that drilling and repair work started at 11 wells in Khuzestan province, adding that 9 wells will be drilled and 2 wells will be repaired.
“The Ramshir field expansion project has been transferred to a contractor company as part of one contract for the development plan of 28 wells,” the deputy director said.
The company representative added that a contract package for the development of a well at the Pazanan oil field has been prepared and will be transferred to the contractor company soon.
Mohammadi said that 2 of 28 plans for the development of oil wells of the NISOC are related to the Ramshir and Pazanan wells in the operational area of the Aghajari Oil and Gas Production Company (AOGPC).
On average, 32,000 barrels of oil per day are extracted from the Ramshir oil field and 31,000 barrels of oil per day from the Pazanan oil field.
