US state secretary leaves ongoing talks on Iran in Oman

Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov.11
Trend:

The US Secretary of State John Kerry has left Oman and now the talks on Iran's nuclear program are continuing among political directors, a diplomatic source told RIA Novosti.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton are also participating in the negotiations, according to the source.

"Kerry has left," said the diplomatic source.

The negotiations between P5+1 (US, Russia, UK, France, China and Germany) and Iran on the latter's nuclear program started in Masqat, Oman on Nov.11 in the morning.

The P5+1 and Iran are holding talks to put Iran's nuclear program under the international control and confirm the program's peaceful nature in exchange of full and gradual lifting of international sanctions. The agreement should be worked out by Nov.24.
