A Japanese tanker blasted near the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, leaving one person injured, Kyodo News reported.
The tanker might have been attacked by an outside force, the owner of the ship, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd was quoted as saying, Xinhua reported.
A total of 31 Indian and Filipino crew members were aboard the ship, the company said.
