A member of the Baghdad provincial council was killed in a car bomb blast in central Baghdad Monday, witnesses told the German Press Agency dpa.
Jassim Ali was killed when a parked car exploded near his vehicle. At least two of his guards were injured in the attack.
The bombing followed attacks across Iraq Sunday that killed 11 people, according to local media.
