(dpa) -  A Palestinian children's television programme, aired on the al-Aqsa television channel of the radical Islamic Hamas movement, showed a puppet of a Palestinian boy killing US President George W Bush.

The Gaza-based television channel broadcast the show on Sunday.

In it, a puppet of a small boy in a blue cap and blue overall infiltrates what is said to be the White House, takes a green-uniformed puppet with black gloves - Bush - by surprise and accuses him of killing his father in Iraq, his mother in Lebanon and his siblings in Gaza.

"You killed my dad in the Iraq war," the boys weeps. "As for my mom, you and the criminal Zionists killed her in Lebanon. You and the criminal Zionists also killed my younger and older brothers in the Gaza holocaust. I'm an orphan, you criminal!"

The boy calls the US president "impure" and says Bush is no longer allowed into the White House because the building "has been turned into a great mosque for the nation of Islam."

He then says he has come to revenge the death of his relatives, draws a sword and stabs Bush five times, until the puppet of the president falls over.

The almost five-minute clip was posted on the website of the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI,) a non-profit organization headquartered in Washington, but based also in Jerusalem and elsewhere, which monitors Middle Eastern media.

Hamas' al-Aqsa TV is known for its anti-Jewish and anti-American propaganda.

The channel has in the past glorified suicide attacks against Israelis, and idolizes Hamas militants who fire rockets at southern Israel from the Gaza Strip.

On Friday, al-Aqsa TV showed a radical Palestinian cleric, Wael al-Zarad, calling for the "annihilation" of the Jews.

"They have turned our mosques into pubs and bars, where they drink alcohol and get women drunk," the cleric says of the Jews, adding, "if each and every Arab spat on them, they would drown in Arab spit."

Hamas is listed as a terrorist organization in Europe and the United States. The Islamic group beat the establishment Fatah party of moderate Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in January 2006 parliamentary elections, and has been in sole control of the Gaza Strip since it ousted Fatah-dominated security forces answering to Abbas in June.
