At least four construction workers died in Moscow when a derelict building they were working in collapsed, Interfax reported on Thursday.
Two more workers were still trapped under the rubble of the house that collapsed late on Wednesday, police officials were quoted as saying, reported dpa.
Due to the cold weather and the degree of destruction, police held little hope that they would be recovered alive. One builder was rescued alive but suffered serious injuries.
The building, which was uninhabited and being prepared for reconstruction, collapsed when scaffolding and support beams caved in on Wednesday.
