Days after a burglar broke into the house of Paris Hilton and stole 2 million dollars worth of jewels, the socialite and hotel heiress has consoled herself by splashing out on a radical pink Bentley, dpa reported.
It's still unknown whether she used insurance money to buy the 200,000 dollar vehicle. But she certainly had enough cash to take it to one of the premier car customizers on the US West Coast, where the stately vehicle was painted a bright shade of pink including pink sheet-metal, grille, hubcaps and most of the interior. Hilton even exchanged the famous B hood ornament with a custom-designed PH motif.
"I love it, it's so pretty. I've just always wanted a pink car," said Hilton, 27, who was spotted driving the car on a Christmas shopping trip, and who explained her inspiration for the unusual vehicle.
"I think when you're a little girl and you have the Barbie corvette you're like, 'I wish I had a car like this one.' So I think it's just being a fan of Barbie for so long," she said.
"This is a car I can't drive every single day, but I will be driving it a lot," she added. "I live in a gated community so I can get in and out without the paparazzi. They've put a protective tint on the windows so no flashes can come through."
