Two Iraqi soldiers killed in bomb explosion in Baghdad

Two Iraqi soldiers were killed and ten people wounded when a roadside bomb explosion struck an Iraqi Army patrol in southern the capital on Thursday, an Interior Ministry source said.
"An explosion charge went off in the morning near a passing Iraqi Army patrol outside Baghdad University in Jadriyah district, killing two soldiers and wounding two others," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Eight college students were also wounded by the blast that damaged a military vehicle, the source said.
Late on Wednesday, a roadside bomb detonated near a police patrol in the Eilaam neighborhood in southern Baghdad, damaging a police vehicle and wounding two policemen aboard, along with wounding four bystanders, the source added.
Despite security gains in recent months in Iraq, there are still sporadic bombings, which shape setback to the Iraqi government, reported Xinhua.
