At least nine people were killed and eight injured Monday when a roadside bomb struck a bus in eastern Afghanistan, police said, dpa reported.
The bus was en route to the capital Kabul when the explosion occurred in Wardak province, police official Abdul Wali Noorzai said.
He blamed the Taliban insurgents for the attack.
Taliban sources were not immediately available to comment on the incident.
