( Prime-News ) - Viktor Yushchenko, president of Ukraine , will pay official visit to Georgia on March 01-02.
Prime-News was told at the Ukrainian Embassy to Georgia that Mikheil Saakashvili, president of Georgia, and Viktor Yushchenko, president of Ukraine , will attend the concert of P. Virski Ukrainian National Academic Dance Ensemble in Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre on March 01.
Organization of the aforementioned concert was related to the official visit of the President of Ukraine and his wife and celebration of Year of Ukraine.
The organizers of the event are the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine and the Ministry of Culture, Monument Protection and Sport of Georgia.
Mikheil Saakashvili and Viktor Yushchenko will open monument of Taras Shevchenko , famous Ukrainian poet and Ukrainian school under the name of Mikheil Grushevski, who studied in Tbilisi gymnasium in 1880-1886.
During the visit of the Ukrainian delegation, officials plan to sign bilateral agreements between the two governments on the protection of geographic names for wines and spirits and mineral waters, as well as on terms for the joint exploitation of railway ferry traffic between the Ukrainian port of Kerch and the Georgian ports of Batumi and Poti.
