The Turkish security forces seized 119 kg of heroin in eastern Turkey on Thursday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
The security forces found the heroin stashed in 23 packages in a truck in Erzican province, the report said, adding the truck was bound for Turkey's largest city of Istanbul, Xinhua reported.
The report said two people suspected of involving in the drug trafficking have been detained.
Turkey has been a key transit route for smuggling drugs from Asia and the Middle East to markets in western Europe.
