Turkey-Iran trade turnover shrinks greatly

The trade turnover between Turkey and Iran reached $2,154.331 billion in the first quarter of 2019, having decreased by $487.635 million compared to the same period last year, the spokesperson of Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on May 20.

“In the first quarter of 2019, the export of the Turkish goods to Iran reached $580.437 million, while import of goods from Iran amounted to $573.984 million," the spokesperson said.

In March 2019, Turkey’s trade with Iran decreased by $145.475 million and amounted to $826.085 million.

The export of the Turkish goods to Iran reached $203.430 million, while import of goods from Iran - $622.655 million in March 2019.

Turkey’s total trade turnover reached $34.5 billion in March 2019.
