In September 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Azerbaijan through Turkish ports amounted to 32,700 tons, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
The ministry noted that in September 2019, the entire volume of cargo transshipped from Azerbaijan through Turkey's ports was carried out by ships flying flags of other countries.
Some142 tons of Azerbaijani cargo were shipped to other countries in transit through Turkish ports.
In September 2019, over 260 million tons of cargo were transshipped via Turkish ports as a whole.
During the reported period, vessels flying the Turkish flag carried almost 21 million tons of cargo, ships flying the flag of their country of origin carried just over 12.1 million tons of cargo, and vessels flying flags of other countries carried almost 227 million tons of cargo.
