Turkey's export to the Turkic-speaking countries increased by 7.3 percent from January through October 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, exceeding $4.4 billion, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend on Dec. 3.
The export to the Turkic-speaking countries from January through October amounted to 3.3 percent of Turkey's total export volume in 2020.
In October 2020, Turkey's export to the Turkic-speaking countries increased by 20.3 percent compared to October 2019, amounting to $579 million.
"In October, export to the Turkic-speaking countries accounted for 3.3 percent of Turkey's total export volume for October 2020," the ministry said.
According to the ministry, import from the Turkic-speaking countries to Turkey decreased by 14.1 percent from January through October 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, exceeding $2.4 billion.
"Import from the Turkic-speaking countries account for 1.3 percent of Turkey's total import volume from January through October 2020," the ministry said.
In October 2020, Turkey's imports from the Turkic-speaking countries increased by 3.8 percent compared to October 2019, reaching $271 million.
"Import from the Turkic-speaking countries account for 1.4 percent of Turkey's total import volume for October 2020," the ministry said.
Turkey's foreign trade turnover in October 2020 amounted to $37.03 billion.
Turkey's export increased by 5.6 percent in October 2020 compared to October 2019, amounting to $17.3 billion.
Turkey's imports in October 2020 increased by 8.4 percent compared to October 2019 and amounted to $19.7 billion.
Turkey's trade turnover amounted to $311.5 billion from January through October 2020.
From January through October 2020, Turkey's export decreased by 9.1 percent compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to $135.6 billion.
From January through October 2020, Turkey's imports increased by 1.2 percent compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to $175.9 billion.
Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to $374.2 billion in 2019.
