BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. About 31.1 million tons of oil products were transshipped through the ports of Turkiye, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
Ships flying the Turkish flag transported 1.2 million tons of oil products through local ports, and ships flying the flags of other countries – 30.9 million tons.
At the same time, 20.5 million tons of oil products were transported in transit through the ports of Turkiye in May 2022.
Turkish ports handled 33.4 million tons of cargo in May 2022.
Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkiye through local ports amounted to 2.3 million tons during the specified period.
Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkiye by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 31.07 million tons.
Turkish ports handled 7.5 million tons of transit cargo in May 2022.
Turkish ports handled 164.2 million tons of cargo from January through May 2022.
