BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. The US will transfer a new weapons package to Ukraine, which will include air defense missiles, anti-drone and anti-tank weapons, and other ammunition, US President Joe Biden said in a statement released by the White House press service, Trend reports.
Biden said he had a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday in connection with the country's Independence Day on August 24. According to him, the United States will soon "announce a new package of military assistance to Ukraine."
"This package will include air defense missiles <...>, anti-drone equipment, and anti-tank missiles <...>," Biden noted. In addition, the American leader emphasized that the next arms package will include other ammunition and "mobile missile systems," without explaining what kind of weapons he was talking about.
