Authorities say at least 24 people are injured in a five-alarm fire raging early Thursday on Staten Island, AP reported.

The New York City Fire Department says figures are still preliminary but 14 of the injured are firefighters and 10 are civilians.

The department says the injuries range from minor to serious, but none is life-threatening.

About 200 firefighters are on the scene battling a blaze that is consuming two residential dwellings.

Fire teams responded to the fire on Chestnut Avenue in the Rosebank neighborhood early Thursday.
