President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree Nov.27 to award two policemen who died heroically during the special operation in Baku's Nardaran settlement Nov.26.
Police sergeants Vugar Nasibov and Ismayil Taghiyev were posthumously awarded with Azerbaijani Flag Order for their special merits for ensuring the socio-political stability in Azerbaijan and for bravery.
An armed criminal group, which was operating under the guise of religion and was planning to forcibly change the constitutional order in Azerbaijan by staging provocations, mass riots and terrorist attacks, was neutralized as a result of the operation, said the decree.
