“The Court of Appeals considered appeal of Nijat Guliyev, the former Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, former adviser to the head of Adzharia, also businessman, on Friday,” lawyer Adil Ismayilov told Trend.
Guliyev asked to change sentence on 15-day arrest issued in his regard by the Nasimy district court. Nevertheless, the court upheld the sentence on determination of Guliyev as suspect.
Guliyev was arrested on 19 October for showing resistance to the police. The Nasimy district court issued a sentence on 15-day arrest in his regard.
