The Azerbaijani metallurgy industry and enterprises produced goods and rendered services in the amount of 21.6 million AZN in January 2015, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report as of January 2015 says.
The production volume of the metallurgy industry decreased by 38.7 percent, while the production of finished products increased by 2.7 percent.
Cast-iron production in the country amounted to 30.2 metric tons in January 2015, which is 6.7 percent more than in the same period of 2014. During the reported period, steel pipes were made in the amount of 1666,8 metric tons, which is 33.7 percent less than in January 2014.
The reinforcement production volume amounted to 19,300 metric tons in the country during this period, which is 30.1 percent less than in the same period of 2014.
As of 2014, the volume of export of iron pipes made up 30.317 metric tons (over $29 million), which is 39.9 percent less (in monetary terms - 39.3 percent less) compared to 2013.
