Azexport.az state portal, which contains information about the products manufactured in Azerbaijan, received export offers worth $4.63 million during January 2017, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of the country said in a message.
The orders were received from Russia, Turkey, Iraq, Bulgaria, Libya, Moldova and other countries, according to the message.
“For example, an order for 4,000 tons of red lentil and 10 tons of peeled hazelnuts was received from Bulgaria,” the message said. “The total price of these orders is $4.08 million. There was also an order for the supply of 300 tons of pasta to Iraq and Libya. The price of this order is estimated at $180,000. In addition, orders for the supply of chicken meat to Turkey, Iraq, Libya, Ghana and Nigeria, as well as lemonade to Belarus were received.”
The message said that product samples and pricing information were sent to the customers.
Azexport.az state portal was created according to the order “On creation of a unified database of goods produced in Azerbaijan” signed Sept. 21, 2016 by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Mission of Azexport.az managed by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication is to provide information about products of Azerbaijani origin and the beneficial platform for their sales in foreign and domestic markets.
