Deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Turkmen foreign minister Rashid Meredov will come to Uzbekistan on an official visit June 1-2, the message of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
Meetings and talks at the ministries of foreign affairs, foreign economic relations, investments and trade of Uzbekistan are scheduled within the framework of the regular Uzbek-Turkmen dialogue in Tashkent.
Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1993.
Currently, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan formed a solid legal base of bilateral cooperation, which includes 170 documents.
Intergovernmental agreements "On the main directions of long-term trade and economic cooperation", "On promotion and mutual protection of investments" and "On avoiding double taxation of income and assets", an intergovernmental agreement on mutual supplies of goods, economic cooperation program for 2013-2017 form the basis of the economic and trade cooperation.
In Uzbekistan, there are seven companies with the participation of the Turkmen capital. The main spheres of activity of these companies are the production of building materials, oil processing industry, trade and services.
