Iran-China trade hits $50B

Iran-China trade hit $50 billion in the first 11 months of 2014.

Pang Sen, Chinese Ambassador to Iran, said that the volume of trade rose by 35.5 percent compared to the same period in 2013, Iran's IRIB reported on Jan. 28.

He added that China imported 25 million metric tons of crude oil from Iran in the 11-month period, a 29 percent rise year on year.

China was the leading importer of Iranian non-oil goods in the previous Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 20, 2014, according to the Iran Customs Administration.
Iran exported $7.43 billion of non-oil goods to China and imported $9.66 billion of non-oil goods from the country.
