Kazakhstan's Aero-mobile forces airborne battalion has carried out training tasks, as a part of a multinational, collective type of exercise with participants of the Collective Rapid Reaction Force 'Interaction- 2013' of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) which took place in Belarus, the press service of Kazakhstan's Defence Ministry reported.
According to the report the combat coordination phase was completed on Monday.
Kazakh servicemen were involved in two tactical teaching episodes. One of them was carried out directly at the Osipovichsky firing ground.
The tasks of the Kazakh soldiers included landing under fire with ambushes on the ground against an imaginary enemy.
Paratroopers made jumps from the skies of Belarus from an Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Belarusian Air Forces.
To land on limited, unprepared and unfamiliar terrain, the paratroopers need to possess maximum dexterity and skills.
Kazakh servicemen were carrying out landing jointly with the aero-mobile groups of the Belarusian and Russian Armed Forces.
Another tactical episode was carried out at the base of the Bobruisk military aerodrome, located 70 km away from the Osipovichsky firing ground.
In accordance with the training schedule, representatives of illegal armed groups seized a military aerodrome and the Collective Rapid Reaction Force had to release this strategically important facility.
