On Tuesday, representatives of the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and China held discussions during regular bilateral consultations between the two ministries over cooperation between the two countries in the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). In addition the process for the preparations for the upcoming statutory meeting of the SCO scheduled to be held this year was discussed, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.
According to the report, the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China is headed by the deputy director of Europe and Central Asian Affairs Department of the Ministry Su Fang Qu.
During the political consultations held in Tashkent, the parties exchanged their views on the further development of Uzbek-Chinese relations including the schedule of upcoming contacts at different levels.
The meeting was attended by the Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Zhang Xiao.
