Avalanches kill eight mountaineers in Iran

Today, the avalanches in the Shimshek Mountain in Dizin region killed eight mountaineers and currently the search of a woman is continuing, said the head of Mountaineering Federation of Iran, Mahmoud Shuai, İRNA news agency reported.

According to Shuai, a group of mountaineers, consisting of 30 people, was covered with snow avalanche. Most of them saved.

The accident killed the famous Iranian mountaineer Farshad Khalili, Shuai said.
