Iran has sent his first humanitarian aid to Syria, IRNA reported on Thursday.
The cargo plane, which arrived at the Damascus Airport, was met by Iranian Ambassador to Syria Mohammad-Reza Rauf-Sheibani, Warif Al-Halabi, Syria's Foreign Ministry official.
Sheibani said that three more Iranian humanitarian cargos will be sent to Syria soon.
Iran's Red Crescent Society said yesterday the first batch of medical supplies will be sent to Syria.
The supplies will be sent in response to a call by the Syrian Red Crescent Society, Iran's Red Crescent Society added.
