Georgia, Tbilisi, Oct.9/Trend, N.Kirtskhalia /
Foreign-policy course of Georgia will not change after the new government comes to power, as the European way is the choice of the people, Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze, who is on a tour to Europe, said.
According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, Vashadze has held meetings with foreign ministers of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria, visiting the capitals of the three countries.
"Georgia is neither a post-Soviet country, nor the country of new democracy. Georgia is a European country, where not only democratic elections are held, but the power is transferred democratically," Vashadze said.
He said the purpose of his visit to the European countries is associated with the request to support the new Georgian government, which will soon begin to act.
Vashadze intends to visit the Baltic states.
Ivanishvili has put forward candidates for ministerial posts in the new Georgian government at the coalition's headquarters in Tbilisi on Monday.
He will take the post of prime minister.
