Head of Information-Analytical Department of Georgian Interior Ministry, David Sujashvili met with representatives of the Crisis Management Planning Directorate of the European External Action Service, Ramon Brugada, Claus Wintop, Per Normark and other officials.

The parties discussed the activities of the EU observer mission in Georgia and the prospects of extending the mission's mandate, according to the Georgian Interior Ministry.

David Sujashvili stressed the importance and the role of the EU Monitoring Mission in maintaining peace and security in the border regions of Georgia's occupied territories, its successful mediation in the prevention of incidents and the effective functioning of the hotline.
