The chief of the General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze and the chief of the European Command of the U.S. Armed Forces, General Philip Breedlove had a telephone conversation and discussed the bilateral cooperation in regional security and defense, the Georgian Defense Ministry said on April 12.

Kapanadze thanked the U.S. side for assistance in the wounded servicemen rehabilitation program. General Breedlove thanked the Georgian military for participation in the ISAF mission.

Kapanadze invited the U.S. general to Georgia. Breedlove accepted the invitation.

The generals also agreed that the details of the Georgian-U.S military cooperation will be discussed during the first personal meeting.
