A meeting was held with a delegation of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), led by co-rapporteur Boris Silevich, in the Main Prosecutor's Office of Georgia.

Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Giorgi Badashvili and his deputies Irakli Shovnadze, Giorgi Gogadze briefed the committee members with the structure and the activity of the Prosecutor's Office, its approaches and views on legal issues.

Badashvili expressed willingness to inform PACE representatives about significant cases concerning former officials of the government of the country, including ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili, the Main Prosecutor's Office of Georgia told Trend.

The sides discussed the cooperation prospects.
