Representatives of the Libyan rebels and Muammar Gaddafi on Sunday evening began negotiations at a hotel in the south of Tunisia, said on Monday, Reuters reports quoting a source directly connected with negotiators, RIA Novosti reported.
However, both of the sides has not yet officially confirmed the fact of negotiations.
According to the official agency, the negotiations were conducted behind closed doors in a hotel on the island of Djerba, situated near the Libyan border.
"Representatives of the rebels and representatives of the Qaddafi are currently conducting a meeting," - said the source.
