BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 27. The number of companies with Azerbaijani capital registered in Türkiye in January 2024 totaled 15, which is nine entities less year-on-year, the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB) said, Trend reports.
The chamber noted that during the reporting month, the number of registered Azerbaijani companies and their total capital decreased.
"In the reporting period, the total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 5.3 million liras ($170,000) against 18.4 million liras ($590,000) in the same period of 2023," the chamber .
The TOBB also mentioned that in January this year, the majority of Azerbaijani companies were registered in Istanbul (11).
"The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Istanbul amounted to 4.7 million liras ($150,000)," TOBB emphasized.
According to the chamber, six wholesale and retail trade, and four industrial companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Türkiye in January 2024.
The rest of the companies operated in other sectors of the economy.
