25 torrents, two 152mm artillery missiles, 10 hand grenades of F1 type were revealed and detonated as a result of cleansing operations carried out by the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), Trend reports.
At the order of the Cabinet of Ministers, since September 25, 2006 ANAMA launched cleansing of areas in Terter District, and west Azerbaijan, from unexploded ordinances. So far, the Agency succeeded to demine 48 houses and one school building. At the moment demining operations are carried out in the territory of School #1, where an anti-infantile mine and 10 gas-masks were found.
The local executive bodies observe the implementation of the operation.
