( Irna ) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that promotion of cooperation among the Caspian Sea littoral states would serve regional peace and security.
Addressing the opening session of the second summit of the five littoral states of the Caspian Sea, the president urged the foreign ministers and heads of state of the five countries to continue holding meetings on a regular basis.
He also expressed hope that the Tehran Summit would lead to further deepening of cordial relations and cooperation among the five neighbors of the sea.
The second summit of the Caspian Sea littoral states kicked off here with the participation of presidents of Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
The participants would discuss ways to find a proper legal regime for the sea.
