Azerbaijan, Baku, May 5 / Trend , U. Sadigova/

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will pay first official visit to Egypt next week, spokesperson for the Israeli government Mark Regev told Trend over telephone from Jerusalem.

Bilateral relations between Israel and Egypt including regional problems will be discussed during a meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

"Bilateral relations, threat to regional stability and the middle peace process will be discussed during the meeting between [Netanyahu and Mubarak]," Regev said.

He did not comment on date of Netanyahu's visit to Egypt.

The meeting is expected to be held in Sharm Al-Sheik.

Relations between Tel Aviv and Egypt, the first Arab country to establish ties with Israel, have deteriorated since the 22-day Israeli military operations against members of Hamas in Gaza, killing more than 1,300 Palestinians.

Head of the Egyptian intelligence Omar Suleiman visited Israel two weeks ago. Suleiman conveyed Netanyahu President Mubarak's official invitation to visit Egypt.

Suleiman also met with Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman. However, Cairo has refused to accept Lieberman until he asks for formal apology from the Egyptian leader for the fact that in October 2008 at a meeting of the Knesset he said that President Mubarak "can go to hell "if he does not want to come to Israel.
