Azerbaijani president inaugurates new building of Ganja police office

On May 25, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated new building of the Ganja City Police Office, AzerTaj state news agency reported.

Interior Minister General Colonel Ramil Usubov reported to the president.

The construction of the building was launched in April 2008. The four-storey building has an area of 7,000 square meters. Both domestic and foreign building materials imported from Turkey, Italy and European countries were used during the construction.

The building houses shifting department and also operation and communication network, arms' room, registration and identity card, investigation and inquest, combating organized crime and crime detection and personnel departments as well as patrol service, special service units, criminal investigation, public security, prevention of juvenile crime, combating drugs departments and a storage.

The hostel which can house 30 people has been built in the basement of the building for the emergency situations unit. There are photos depicting national leader Heydar Aliyev's meaningful life and care and attention for law enforcement agencies at the foyer of the second floor. There is also press room able to house 50 people and a chancellery.

There are photos depicting President Ilham Aliyev's care and attention for law enforcement agencies at the foyer of the third floor. There is also assembly hall able to house 320 people on the third floor. 

There is green area which covers 1,500 square meters around the office. It shows that straightening material and technical basis of law enforcement agencies and Interior Ministry is the constant focus of attention. Measures taken in this regard by President Aliyev enables to better organize work of law enforcement agencies.

The president congratulated staff on opening of a new building and wished them success.
