Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov attended the opening ceremony of the building complex of the Chief Department of Civil Defense and Rescue Operations of the Defense Ministry, the Turkmen government's press service reported.
According to the information, the building is equipped with modern equipments, which will allow fulfilling the "task of protecting the population, territories and management facilities from emergency situations, including natural and anthropogenic disasters, preventing and eliminating the consequences of such situations, organizing and conducting all the necessary measures to provide operational assistance during natural disasters. "
"The conditions created here, will allow the department to successfully fulfill its important and responsible role," Berdimuhammadov said.
