BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. With the liberation from the occupation of Azerbaijani lands, a great opportunity has opened up to achieve lasting peace in the region, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during an event organized for ambassadors accredited in Turkey, Trend reports.
Speaking about the global issues on the agenda, he said that Turkey continues the process of normalizing relations with neighboring Armenia.
Touching on the ways to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and the Syrian crisis, as well as other topical issues, Erdogan said that achieving peace, stability and development on the planet is the only right way, and Turkey's position on these issues remains unchanged.
At the event held at the Central Headquarters of the ruling Justice and Development Party of Turkey, Azerbaijan was represented by the country's ambassador Rashad Mammadov.
