A number of candidates willing to participate in by-elections on 13 May 2006 increased for one person, the Central Election Commission (CEC) told Trend.
On 6 January Alimuhtar Akbarov nominated his candidacy from the Second Surahan constituency в"- 31. Thus, 7 candidates are running up from this constituency.
One candidate is from the Sumgayit Apsheron constituency в"- 44.
By-elections will be held on 10 constituencies.
